FLGO

FLGO is an abbreviation for Fuel, Lube, and Gas Oil. In practice, it is also used to manage any liquid or gas, e.g., water or chemicals. In this guide, we will guide you through each step. First, we will create a basic structure consisting of categories, tanks, and other storage units. Then, we will learn how to measure these various types, and how to receive and deliver.

Creating groups

You can create a new group by right-clicking in the white overview tree, just like all the other Marad modules.

Adding a product

An example of a product is MDO. We will add it as a product in the category ‘Fuel’. Right-click a category to do so:

We can now add the product name and its color. We highly recommend using the Marine Pipe Marking Standards to indicate products. For example, ISO 14726 defines ‘Fuel’ as the color brown.

Adding tanks and stock packing units

Each product has to be stored somewhere, either in a tank or a stock packing unit. An example of the latter is a barrel, container, etc. Make sure to add the correct density and minimum/maximum. You can also define the measure unit, e.g., liters or cubic meters:

Measuring products

To update the products, simply press the ‘Measurement’ button in the left-side function menu. You can also right-click a category, product, tank, or stock packing unit.

The more measurements you make, the more detailed your graphs and reports will be. Below is an example of a three-day measurement streak:

Receiving and delivering

Receiving and delivering is different from measuring. For example, if you bunker, you will add tons of fuel. If you deliver fuel (e.g., as a supplier or tanker), you can simply deliver the product and Marad will deduct it from your previous measurements. To receive or deliver products, click on the corresponding buttons in the function menu.

Example of a live environment

Below are a few examples of a live Marad environment. As you can see, the deliver/usage/receiving cycle is clearly visible.
