Marad Desktop

Marad Desktop is our most powerful application. It is available for office users as a standard cloud application (fully online), but can also work completely offline! The technical aspects are explained in the installation course, which is available for free. Marad Desktop is separated into two versions:

• Marad Office (online)
• Marad Vessel (offline)

The Office and Vessel version look exactly the same. In the right-bottom corner, you will find an icon which displays an office or vessel. This way, you can see which version you are using.

Marad Office

Marad Office is our online desktop application. It requires an internet connection to work. You can download it in our download portal or request our support department for a link.

Marad Vessel

Marad Vessel is the exact same application as Marad Office. However, it works offline, and requires synchronization to update the latest records. It also lacks a few functions that can only be used by computers with an internet connection. Examples of this are functions such as fleetview, library, and generating setups. You can generate a vessel setup by opening Marad Office or Marad Online | Start | Setups | “Generate setup for the current location”. Please check the installation course if you would like to install Marad on multiple vessel computers.

Synchronization

The Marad vessel version uses a synchronization tool to update change on both sides. Synchronization can also be performed automatically. Most of our clients synchronize automatically during the night, for example at 2 AM. You can always perform a manual synchronization.
